Client says they paid more than $300 to have her husband tested for fidelity. She said husband had insisted on choosing the examiner, and that he had called around before choosing this one.

Client said examiner tested husband behind a closed door and was done in 15 minutes.

Examiner provided client with a printout from the polygraph instrument that showed all (I, R and C) questions used, showed MGQT to have been used, and showed the final computer scoring of NDI.

However, as this printout was later reviewed by neutral examiners, it also revealed a glaring fact: the examiner did not use C questions written as taught by federal polygraph academy. Both improperly worded, one C question was actually just another R question. Appears that the examiner does not follow the required Control Question Theory as is the basis of examinations of the past several decades (this is not the proper venue for listing specifics). The computer scoring can not be blamed as its users are assumed and required to use properly worded C questions when filling in those blanks

Not a valid exam. Examiner should simply take a refresher seminar on CQ wording/scoring.

Client says she paid $400 to have her husband tested for fidelity.

Client said examiner did not use the two questions that client wanted asked, instead using generic questions.

Client says the test was a waste of time because her two questions were not answered.

Client says they paid $375 to have himself tested for fidelity.

Client said examiner told him that although the computer scoring said he had passed, his hand-scoring of the charts said he did not pass, and that he suspected 'countermeasures'.
Client said that he was completely telling the truth and was ripped off.

Did you know . . . ?

Did you know that during the week following the use of a polygraph on a television show, whether it was a 'silly' show or a 'scientific' show, calls increase for several days to examiners nationwide?

323 area code man calling around, looking for a 'Guaranteed Pass'

323 area code man calling around, looking for a 'Guaranteed Pass'.

He is saying "I need a polygraph test. I did cheat on my wife, but I need a polygraph test that says I didn't".

No legitimate examiner will ever agree to that.

More polygraph examiners are needed: Florida, Georgia and New York

More polygraph examiners are needed in Florida, Georgia and New York.

Thanks to PEOA's strong marketing presence, those states are producing more polygraph requests from the public than can be fit into the schedules of current coverage there.

Contact peoamail@aol.com if you are a competent polygraph examiner who can handle more exams.

Transparency is needed for any organization to be respected

Listing complaints about polygraph examiners is not easily found. Where several polygraph entities are known to hide or bury complaints, PEOA lists them as a learning tool for examiners nationwide, and as food for thought for the public.

Note that NO identifiers are listed, as no embarrasment or business loss is intended for particular examiners. And these complaints are only telling the client's side.

The public frequently thanks us for our transparency, also often asking for PEOA membership verification prior to hiring an examiner. Many are not hired due to being non-members.

(not the same examiner known for badmouthing her competitors)

Client says she paid $250 cash to have her husband tested for fidelity.

Client said examiner told her that she didn't currently have a car, and that the address given for the testing turned out to be examiner's home.

Client says the examiner appeared to be confused and be unexperienced. Client doesn't feel the test results can be relied on.

A current federal examiner and a private examiner spent a long day together on a project

A current federal examiner and a private examiner spent a long day together on a project that required the exact following of current federal polygraph training and technique. The private examiner brought all the equipment and did most of the hands-on work, with the federal examiner monitoring for federal adherence.

Discussed was the current federal polygraph training on: bp cuff placement, stim/acquaintance tests, formats, pre-test interviews, sensor placement, countermeasures, court-admissibility, instructions and more.

End of the day, it was found that the private examiner's work had fully followed all current federal polygraph guidelines.

Two more complaints about an examiner known to badmouth her competitors . . .

Less than two months ago, clients complained that after choosing to not use this examiner, she bothered them with harassing calls. She had to be told to stop calling.

Now, two who had received price quotes from her were instructed by her to tell other examiners they had contacted first 'Don't contact this number again or will press charges'.

Backfiring, those now-confused potential clients chose not to use the bad-mouthing examiner.
