Complaint about a California polygraph examiner: odd behavior, and 3 1/2 hours test of wasted time

Complaint about a California polygraph examiner-- odd behavior, and a 3 1/2 hours polygraph test that used the first few hours to cause examinee to be sure to pass the test at the end

Recent past complaints: YES
Examiner gender: M

The other recent complaint: this examiner is said to tell potential clients by phone that only he is a real polygraph examiner and that all other examiners in his area are 'charlatans' (his word) that callers would 'be fools to use'

Client paid examiner $500 to test a female roommate for theft.

Client said examiner was 'crabby' the entire visit.

Client said Examiner used Internet to translate the questions into Spanish for the examinee.

Client said that for first few hours it was mainly asking the female roommate over and over again, NOT hooked up to a polygraph, 'Did you steal the . . . . . ?".

Client said Examiner told them he was 'old' and was 'going to die soon'. Client said Examiner lifted his shirt and showed them a major surgery scar that wrapped around his body.

Client was familiar with polygraph and finally asked 'Isn't it time by now to hook her up?' Examiner is said to have gotten angry and said 'Don't tell me my job!'.

Later, what followed was asking the female roommate the same question for a short time while finally attached to a polygraph instrument.

Client felt that the hours of the same question over and over 'desensitized' the female roommate to that question, like hours on an assembly line, so practiced and beyond bored with that question that it would cause no body change if a lie occurred once actually on the polygraph. And possibly the anger caused him to side with the examinee.

A theft polygraph does not take 3 1/2 hours.
