History of the Lafayette LX-2000 and LX-3000 early computerized instruments

2000: was available 1993-1997

3000: was available 1997-2003


2000: used the same GSR connector plug the same as analog models

3000: used a larger GSR connector plug than analog models (like newer 4000 does)


2000: connected to computer by a SCSI cable

3000: connected to computer by a serial cable


2000: a large black box; 5 channels

3000: a small gold box; 5 channels


2000: had a 160-page User Manual

3000: used the 2000’s User Manual


Neither had video capabilities.

Replaced by the 7-channel USB-model 4000 in 2002.


NOTE:
there was no ‘LX-1000’ model; LX-2000 was their first computerized model
