Complaint about a polygraph examiner: Client looking for a local west coast examiner actually reached a 'polygraph referral service' on the east coast; client was told that he would be 'scammed' if he didn't use the examiner the referral service wanted $100 as an 'introduction fee' for!

Client needed to have roommates tested over a money theft matter. After speaking to several examiners, one that had used a toll-free number in his ad returned the client's call, but made the return call from an east-coast phone number.
It turned out to be a 'polygraph referral service' that wanted to charge client $100 to have an unnamed west coast examiner call client! Client advised that he already had a much better price quote from an identifiable local examiner. Referral service told client that he would be 'scammed' if he didn't use the referral service's unnamed examiner!
Client chose to use the identifiable local examiner --with no 'referral charge'-- and received good service.
NOTE: Why would anybody pay $100 to be introduced to a polygraph examiner?! Such a service may have been needed in the 1990s before the Internet was strong and easy to use. Just simply Google these words: Polygraph test in (big city). You will find many examiners.
