Complaint about a California polygraph examiner: he charged $400 and gave useless results of 'No Opinion'. Then said he had to leave without doing another chart because he said he was a police officer and had to get to work; research showed different information than that . . .

Details as per Complainant:
Client, a young woman, has a husband who has been incarcerated for 5 years. He got 'the feeling' that his wife might have contact with other guy(s) in his prison, so she offered to take a polygraph test.
She went to the test with her mother-in-law. When done, Examiner reportedly said that (instead of issuing a 'Pass' or a 'Fail') he was issuing the score of 'No Opinion' specifically because her "breathing was shallow".
As Client claimed to have never had ANY contact with any other inmate, she was in disbelief that she didn't easily 'Pass'. She said that he said he couldn't administer another chart because he said he was a police officer and had to get to work. She and her mother-in-law left very upset.
As the examiner's polygraph website told that Examiner was a RETIRED officer from a small municipal police department, they now felt double-lied to. Further research revealed that Examiner has other social media format that says he is a polygraph examiner at a different law enforcement agency.
Client and mother-in-law went to another polygraph examiner, one that was not 'rushed' and had far more experience than the 'No Opinion' examiner. They did NOT tell this Examiner about the prior test. Client easily scored No Deception Indicated (a 'Pass') on multiple charts. Then, as a 4-page report was was being written, the details of the bad testing was shared.
Note: breathing sensitivity is easily adjustable on a modern computerized instrument. As some shirt material or layers of clothing can dampen breathing reactions and make them shallow, there is an on-screen adjustment to instantly adjust for it.

Complaint about a California polygraph examiner: his attempt to badmouth lower-priced competitors actually drove the caller away-- to a lower-price competitor who was far more experienced!

Client telephoned an examiner who was advertising polygraph services. Client was OK with the quoted $350 price and was ready to schedule. But then the examiner told her that he was "more accurate than anyone charging less". That perked Client's interest, and she then contacted other examiners. She ended up choosing a more-experienced examiner who was half of the original quote price, and was very satisfied with the testing results.
Worse, the examiner who had badmouthed anyone charging less than him: he already had several complaints from clients in the past year.
