How does a polygraph test in Los Angeles work?
Typically, and simplified:
Answering a pattern of 10 Yes or No answerable questions, known as a 'chart'.
Up to 4 of those questions, the main questions, can be written by the client.
3 charts are collected (administered).
The two most common ways to fail: Lying, and Moving.
Medical devices are attached to the chest, abdomen, arm, and fingertips.
Those medical devices are viewing microscopic changes to blood, 'sweat', upper breathing and lower breathing.
Answers should be made with mouth only; no head or body movements.
What the examinee's body does microscopically when answering the main questions is compared to what the body did when answering the other questions.
Same test as used by police departments and the FBI when hiring new employees.
